2016 MAYA-MEXICA ETHNIC JEWELRY

This are unique pieces that I have been collecting -and making- in my expeditions through the Mexican jungles, pyramids, deserts, colonial towns, lacandonia jungle, san cristobal, guatemala, costa rica, peru, etc.   The necklaces are inspired in Maya-Mexica pectorals from Palenque and Teotihuacan, based in original pieces that can be seen in museums and anthropology books -or google-.

They are all made by me, by merging different styles with hand made beads from dif indigenous artisans and countries, such as Amber & Jade from the Mayas in Chiapas, Obsdian from Teotihuacan, Turquoise from Guatemala, seeds from Peru, quartz and beadworks from the Wixarika that live in the Deserts of Mexico.
